"It is purely bliss and zen."
There’s nothing I can say that previous reviewers haven’t regarding the property. It is purely bliss and zen. Our families young children were able to overcome some previous river-anxiety and wondered when we can get a ‘Mansion’ 🙃. Everything one could think of needing, extra towels, melamine plates/bowls for the kiddos, red wine vinegar, good books for everyone, etc was there. We severely overpacked considering the amenities and resources the house has. If there is any availability at Sequoia Falls for your stay, no contemplation; make reservation.

“This is our second time here. We bring our three kids 5-17 and our two dogs. It has become one of our favorite spots and we would come more if it wasn’t booked as much! Everything about the house and outside is so well thought out. It is beautiful and so relaxing. There’s plenty to do if you want or you can just sit and listen to the river. Best place!”

The property is beautiful, spotless, tranquil, and provides all the amenities one could ask for. The calmness is felt all around, which is what our group of 6 adults were looking for. We spent each day/night by the flowing river, playing outdoor games (which were provided), and taking in natures beauty. There is so much detail and thought put into this property, and we are grateful that it is being shared with others. Since the entrance to Sequoia National Park is only a few miles away, we spent a full day exploring the park which was an added perk. Chris is wonderful! He responded to all of our questions in a timely manner and provided us with a lot of information prior to our arrival. He truly wants to make the experience memorable - and he succeeded.

Staying at Sequoia Falls is an amazing experience. The setting on the river is so serene and provided many hours of enjoyment for my entire family. The house is thoughtfully decorated and the kitchen is well stocked. The host/owner, Chris, was so gracious and prompt in his communication and provided us with many referrals and suggestions for the area including hikes, restaurants and day trips. We really enjoyed our stay at Sequoia Falls and we will definitely be back!

"This house was perfection in so many ways."
This house was perfection in so many ways. Came here with a few friends, and we were all blissed out by being there. So many things to love about this house, the location, the impeccable design, the plethora of great books and magazines, the steam room in the primary! Every last detail is thought of, they even laid out beds for our dogs, which they absolutely loved. I cannot wait to go back!

This property is spectacular inside and out and just as pictured but in person, even more unbelievable if that was possible. The owner has made this property feel like your own personal resort. The surroundings are stunning as is the house and we have rented many upscale vacation homes but none have compared, even a beach property in Malibu Ca. Also the kitchen was equipped with any appliance one could need as well as an abundance of cooking utensils dishes etc. We were greeted with a beautiful, generous local gift basket filled with organic fruits, vegetables and delicious baked goods. So appreciated, welcoming and unexpected. There were ample fresh coffee beans for the week complete with a grinder , another great surprise. And there is even a beautiful guest house. The WiFi worked perfectly and each large screen TV came equipped with Apple TV and many other apps. My entire family can’t wait to return.

"We left completely relaxed and at peace and are already planning our next visit."
We stayed at one of Chris' previous properties, Kaweah Falls, nine years ago for my partner's 40th and thought it would be fun to stay at Sequoia Falls for my 40th this year. As beautiful as Kaweah Falls was, Sequoia Falls exceeded every expectation we had. We arrived to beautiful baskets of fruit, a lovely note, and handmade muffins from Maria (the same muffins I had nine years ago, which were so delicious I talked about them for months afterwards). As other commenters have said, it's the details that make Chris' properties so special. It takes a unique talent to make people from around the world feel like a rental property is THEIR home but that's exactly what Chris does. I highly recommend exploring the property and taking in all the little touches that make this place so warm and inviting, from the heron weathervane to the countless seating options to the extensive library of curated reading options (John Muir's books were a favorite). We left completely relaxed and at peace and are already planning our next visit.

I booked this beautiful home a year ago and was super excited for our visit. It did not disappoint, our trip was fabulous because of the natural setting, beautiful home and Chris’ generous hospitality. We were perfectly happy and comfortable staying riverside, inside or lounging on the deck. The house was well stocked and aesthetically pleasing with lots to look at and admire. I was thrilled to browse and borrow a variety of books and got to indulge with my favorite authors while dipping my feet in the cool river water. I look forward to being lucky enough to score some more days at Sequoia Falls in the near future.

Not a single detail was missed in making sure that our stay was enjoyable, from the fresh basket of local baked goods and produce left for us once we arrived, to the gorgeous home that felt like a spa retreat, and in a setting that allowed us to enjoy all the best of nature. "Sequoia Falls was the best rental we’ve stayed at by far."
Sequoia Falls was the best rental we’ve stayed at by far. We had a group of family with kids ranging from 16 yrs old to 6 months and everyone had a great time. Chris has set up so many peaceful zones with plenty of swings, seating to make a chill spot for one or two people or the whole family. The inside of the house is super comfortable with very nice furniture, decor, extras to make you feel at home. We loved the beautiful ceiling fans, the soft sheets/blankets and the plentiful kitchen. I personally loved the body wash in the shower- smelled amazing! Chris was also friendly, responsive and super accommodating to us. I think the host makes this place outstanding. We followed his secret swimming hole advice and had a private swimming spot all to ourselves. If you are considering visiting this area, this property is worth every penny, we’ll be back for sure!
